Administrators' Welcome

Hello Hawk Families,

I hope your family is having a wonderful year! My name is Anthony Haduch, and I serve as your Principal at Highcrest Middle School. I am so looking forward to our partnership ahead! Highcrest Middle School serves as an important step in your child's education in District 39. You started up the staircase in your home elementary school and are now halfway through your journey! Here at Highcrest we help your child time-travel to their future selves, to a world in which they see their future successes. Highcrest is about further strengthening your child's academic skills while growing their sense of self as it relates to their interests, hobbies, college, and career goals. At this step, we get to play with a multitude of ideas to keep your child excited about growing toward their future. As they continue up the staircase of success toward Wilmette Junior High, they develop a strong sense of self and a passion that anchors them in deeper and more focused learning.

Together, in fifth and sixth grade, we will ensure every child can communicate their hopes and dreams for the future. At Highcrest, every child is capable of success.

With so much Hawk Pride,

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the school year. I am looking forward to welcoming back your students to school this year and serving as their 6th grade level administrator (GLAd).

The middle school years can be exciting and challenging for both students and parents alike. As the mother of three boys, I am keenly aware that the learning and relationships made during these years, both personal and academic, help shape the adults our students grow to be. I hope to support your student by helping them learn and grow from each situation and by encouraging their innate curiosity and interests.

Here’s to a wonderful school year! GO HAWKS!

Hello! I am extremely excited to be the 5th Grade Level Administrator at Highcrest Middle School. This will be my 6th year at Highcrest and I love my job.

My background is primarily in gifted education, but I have also taught kindergarten, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. This is my 30th year in education and I am proud to say that I’m still learning new ways to meet students’ needs.

5th grade has a very special place in my heart. Personally, I believe it is the best grade level! Lots of transitions, both academically and socially, that contribute to innumerable learning experiences. Your children will be new to Highcrest, but together we will navigate our way through the year.

Outside of work, I have two sons and 2 step-children (boy and girl). I love to play Pokemon Go (and other video games), watch cartoons, and collect chickens. So...I’m not far off from being a 5th grader myself. :)

Please feel free to contact me anytime. I look forward to a great school year!
