We have started the planning process for the 2020-2021 school year. Although this process begins early, it continues throughout the summer until class assignments are finalized in August. There are many factors that we consider as we develop our schedule and class lists, including: gender balance, heterogeneous mix of abilities, learning styles and interests, special programs, related, social-emotional development, and peer relationships.

 

If you feel that there are extraordinary factors that our school staff may be unaware of, you may opt to complete the survey form linked at the bottom of this message. The parent input form is now open and will close Monday, April 27.  You’ll need to complete only those questions that you feel will provide us with pertinent information. Please be clear, concise, and confine your comments to the allotted space (150 words per text box).

 

We would also like to caution you about making positive or negative requests for teachers by name unless your family has a direct experience with that individual. Each family’s experience with a particular staff member is unique. If you are making a request based on a relationship with a staff member, we respectfully encourage you to express that on the official form rather than approaching your child’s current teacher.

 

We work diligently to ensure the most appropriate placement for every student. Please understand that while we take parent input into consideration as a part of this process, it is not always possible for us to honor specific requests.
